Since I first started doing the custom portraits of stick figure couples for Valentine’s Day, I’ve expanded my range of personalised drawings a bit, so I thought I’d showcase some of the stuff I’ve done. Custom Cards for Mothers
I grew up in South Africa so my mum is actually my Mom. I remember when I moved to the UK the trouble I had trying to find birthday and Mother’s Day cards for her that didn’t say ‘Mum’ on them. It’s much easier now that I make my own cards 🙂
There are so many different names for mothers.. Mum, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Mummy, Ma – and I’m sure there are plenty more I’m not even aware of!
I took this into account when I decided to create my custom cards for mothers. As well as doing custom cartoon portraits of the buyer’s mother (because mothers come in all shapes, sizes and ages!), the text underneath can also be changed to suit. They’re suitable for Mother’s Day, Birthdays or any time you just want to make your Mum feel special.

Not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but earlier this year I invested in a pyrography kit. I love it – I get to draw and burn things at the same time! It’s taken a bit of getting used to, and takes longer than drawing on paper, but it’s really fun and gives some great results.

My Highland Adventure – Walking the Great Glen Way
Last week I walked the Great Glen Way in Scotland, and it was one of the best holidays (though also most knackering) that I’ve had in ages. I could quite happily move to Scotland in a heartbeat – the countryside is stunning, the people are so friendly and the Scots make heavenly whisky!
