My Highland Adventure – Walking the Great Glen Way

Last week I walked the Great Glen Way in Scotland, and it was one of the best holidays (though also most knackering) that I’ve had in ages. I could quite happily move to Scotland in a heartbeat – the countryside is stunning, the people are so friendly and the Scots make heavenly whisky!

Autumn in watercolour

Autumn Leaves Falling

Autumn has always been my favourite season – I don’t particularly like being hot (unless I’m on a beach) so the drop in temperature suits me, and it’s sooooo beautiful when the trees start changing colour.

I decided to have a go at capturing some of the Autumn colours with watercolour pencils as my black and white drawings can’t do the season justice. It made a nice change to be working with colour 🙂

Going to music festivals is one of my very favourite things to do in the whole wide world – I love camping and I love music so it’s heaven for me to combine the two… I had a great time at Standon Calling this past weekend and was feeling the post-festival blues yesterday so decided to spend my day doing some music festival illustrations to cheer me up.
