I grew up in South Africa so my mum is actually my Mom. I remember when I moved to the UK the trouble I had trying to find birthday and Mother’s Day cards for her that didn’t say ‘Mum’ on them. It’s much easier now that I make my own cards 🙂
There are so many different names for mothers.. Mum, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Mummy, Ma – and I’m sure there are plenty more I’m not even aware of!
I took this into account when I decided to create my custom cards for mothers. As well as doing custom cartoon portraits of the buyer’s mother (because mothers come in all shapes, sizes and ages!), the text underneath can also be changed to suit. They’re suitable for Mother’s Day, Birthdays or any time you just want to make your Mum feel special.

I love my own Mom so much – she’s always been so supportive of me, even when I got a bit weird or I made life really inconvenient for her growing up. And when I had my own kids I appreciated her even more than I did before. I know not everyone is as lucky as I am – some have lost their mothers too soon, others have a rather more fraught relationship with theirs – so I’m very grateful to have her around and to be able to call her my friend.
