Personalised Stocking Filler Ideas

Personalised stocking filler ideas - image shows row of Christmas stockings by fireplace

It’s always lovely receiving something that has been made especially for you. Whether or not you’ve already done the majority of your Christmas shopping, these personalised stocking filler ideas will make your favourite people feel extra special!

Personalised Christmas biscuits

How adorable are these personalised Christmas biscuits?! I’ve bought biscuits from The Kitch Hen before and they are gorgeous. I’ve heard they’re tasty too, though I’m still waiting for someone to get me some to try myself πŸ˜„

I especially love these personalised Christmas jumpers (also available in pink)…

Personalised stocking filler socks

I know getting socks for Christmas can be a bit of a standing joke, but these funny personalised socks have your choice of photo on them, so it’s clear that you put a bit more effort into it… You can put your face, their face or even a pet’s face onto them!

Personalised card holder stocking filler

A stocking filler that’s good looking, practical and personalised… What more could you ask for? And this personalised leather card holder is great for those guys in your life that are a little difficult to buy for. Though I’d be just as happy to get one myself!

Personalised Mug

It’s always nice to drink out of a mug that has a special memory or person associated with it. These personalised name mugs are really pretty, come in a range of colours and there’ll be no doubt who each one belongs to either!

I hope this has given you a few more ideas or inspired some ideas of your own for great stocking fillers. Don’t forget to get your Christmas cards too – I’ve got a range to suit all sorts of sports, hobbies and interests! You also have the option of personalising the text inside each card too.

Holiday Cards

Gin Themed Holiday Card - Let the festivities be Gin

I did wonder whether it is too early to start talking about holiday cards, but then I’ve already sold two in my Etsy shop, so it seems that some people are preparing early this year. Hopefully this year the postal system will be better prepared too!

And the holidays are not just about Christmas. Diwali is coming up at the beginning of next month. So there are just a few weeks left before the Festival of Lights kicks off! I’ve become more conscious that we all celebrate the holidays in different ways and want to make sure I start catering for a wider range. If you have any specific requests then please let me know on Instagram or Facebook.

This is the first Diwali card I’ve designed but I hope to add more over time.

Hannukah is also celebrated before Christmas is, and I’ve added a Happy Hannukah card to my holiday range too.

Even those of us who celebrate Christmas don’t all celebrate it in the same way. Some are more focused on the religious side of it, to others the most important thing is meeting up with family. And then there are those of us who get really excited about the food 🀣. Here’s my (somewhat tongue in cheek) nod to my favourite festive nibble…

Mince Pies Christmas card - Christmas is all about the MINCE PIES!

I do of course also look forward to spending time with family and friends! 😁

As well as the new additions I’ve mentioned already, I’ve also created a few new holiday designs to add to last year’s favourites. Here’s a small sampling, but you can view the full collection of holiday cards in my shop.

Holiday cards for a special someone

A good proportion of my holiday cards are aimed at a special person in your life. I realise (and am happy that) a lot of people buy a selection of charity Christmas cards to send out. But it’s sometimes nice to acknowledge your favourite person (or people) with a card that is chosen especially for them. Here are a few for significant others and best friends.

Custom cartoon portraits

I am also still doing custom cartoon portraits, either as Christmas cards or prints to frame and give as gifts. These are great for your other half, or for grown up children, parents or grandparents. It’s worth ordering these early if you want them. They take more time and if I get too busy closer to Christmas I’ll stop offering them.

Other holiday cards

And finally here’s a selection of other holiday cards in the collection. I’m offering bulk discounts so that the more you buy the more you save. You can mix and match 3 or 5 different cards, or otherwise order any one design in larger numbers for a bigger discount.

Homemade Gift Voucher Ideas

homemade gift voucher

Creating a homemade gift voucher or DIY coupon booklet can be a great gift solution. They’re original, can be low cost and you don’t need to wait for delivery. Need some inspiration? Read on, I’ve got  you covered…

Reasons to give a DIY gift voucher

Giving a homemade gift voucher or coupons solves a lot of different problems. Whether you:

  • can’t get to the shops;
  • left it too late to get a gift delivered;
  • are a bit strapped for cash;
  • can’t think of anything the recipient needs;
  • want to give a gift (like an experience) that can’t be wrapped;
  • want to offer flexibility to the recipient; or
  • want to give a gift that is a bit different and much more personal

making your own gift vouchers ticks all the boxes!

Ideas for homemade gift vouchers

You can either give a voucher for something that will cost money later on, or offer coupons for a gift that makes use of your time, effort and/or talents!
Here are some ideas:

  • Breakfast in bed
  • Trip to theatre or cinema to see the show of their choice
  • A romantic dinner for two
  • A back rub or massage
  • Wash the dishes for a week
  • Car wash and valet
  • A tank full of petrol
  • A night of babysitting
  • A new outfit
  • Sexy treats (for your other half only!)
  • A ‘taxi service’ to and from a destination of their choice (great for teenagers)
  • Mow their lawn
  • A home cooked meal delivered to their door
  • Daily dog walking for a week or a month
  • A bubble bath with candles, champagne/hot chocolate and no interruptions!

Hopefully these will inspire you to come up with some of your own ideas too. You can come up with homemade gift voucher ideas for pretty much anybody, from children to grandparents and everyone in between. As long as it’s something they actually want, you can’t really go wrong!

Presentation

There are several different ways to present your voucher or coupons. You could use a greeting card with the gift written inside, print out a gift voucher or certificate or create a booklet of coupons. If you’re not very crafty or don’t much like making or designing things there are plenty of gift voucher templates online you can use. You could also just buy a small notebook and write a variety of different coupon ideas on each page inside. With homemade gift vouchers it’s very much the thought that counts, so don’t worry too much if your presentation is a bit lacking 😁
If you come up with any great ideas and post them on Instagram or Facebook, tag me (@loulongworth) so I can be inspired too!
